New Delhi, October 22 (H.S.): Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi has officially made her debut on the social media platform Instagram, sharing the first glimpse of her much-anticipated autobiography, ‘Belonging: A Journey of Love’.

In her first video on the platform, Sonia Gandhi is seen holding the first copy of the book. The video also captures her turning through its pages and looking at childhood photographs of her children, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.

In the caption accompanying her first official post, Sonia Gandhi wrote, “Hello everyone, I am truly grateful to share this moment with you all. This is the first glimpse of my book, ‘Belonging: A Journey of Love’. It is a story of love, duty, pain and the search for belonging. I look forward to sharing it with you all.”

The eagerly awaited book is scheduled for release in India on November 10, and pre-orders have already begun. It will be published internationally by Alfred A. Knopf and in India by HarperCollins India.

The autobiography offers a rare and intimate perspective on Sonia Gandhi’s life, tracing her journey from her childhood in Italy to her arrival in India, her relationship with former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, the highs and lows of her political career, and her personal experiences.

Notably, soon after joining Instagram, Sonia Gandhi began following only three accounts: those of her son, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha; her daughter, Priyanka Gandhi, Congress general secretary; and the official Instagram account of the Congress party.

Her Instagram account has already attracted 80,600 followers.
