Bhubaneswar, 22 October (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo paid tribute to revolutionary freedom fighter Shaheed Ashfaqulla Khan on his birth anniversary, remembering his sacrifice, patriotism and enduring contribution to India’s freedom struggle.

In a social media post, Chief Minister Majhi offered his respectful tributes to the eminent freedom fighter, stating that Ashfaqulla Khan’s sacrifice, love for the country and ideals would continue to remain a source of inspiration for generations.

Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo also paid homage to the revolutionary, describing him as an immortal freedom fighter whose courage and sacrifice helped kindle the flame of freedom.

Recalling Ashfaqulla Khan’s friendship with fellow revolutionary Ram Prasad Bismil, Singh Deo said their bond remained a timeless reminder that India’s strength lies in unity beyond divisions. He added that Ashfaqulla Khan’s martyrdom should continue to inspire generations to uphold the dignity and honour of the motherland.
