Guwahati, 22 October (HS): By-elections to three constituencies of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) are likely to be held soon, with the State Election Commission issuing a notification regarding the preparation of electoral rolls for Kajalgaon, Darrangajuli and Rowta constituencies.

According to the schedule announced by the commission, the draft electoral rolls for the three constituencies will be published on November 7, while the final voter list will be released on November 30.

The last date for filing claims and objections has been fixed for November 21. The process of disposing of all claims and objections will be completed by November 27.

The revision of electoral rolls is an important preparatory step ahead of the proposed by-elections in the three BTC constituencies. However, the State Election Commission has not yet announced the polling dates.

The publication of the final electoral rolls on November 30 is expected to mark a significant step towards the electoral process in these constituencies.----------
