New Delhi, October 22 (H.S.): Proceedings of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) House were disrupted soon after the general meeting commenced on Thursday, as councillors from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) created an uproar. The commotion forced the House to adjourn for five minutes. When proceedings resumed, AAP councillors again began creating a ruckus.

During the proceedings, Congress councillor Nazia Danish criticised the AAP and questioned the functioning of its former mayors. She alleged that although the party had two mayors during its tenure, neither was able to function independently.

Taking a dig at the AAP’s leadership, Danish remarked that one mayor was allegedly controlled from jail, while another was directed by someone else. She claimed that the party’s mayors had not been able to discharge their responsibilities independently.

Danish also targeted Shagufta Zubair Chaudhary, making remarks about her decision to leave the Congress and join the Aam Aadmi Party.
