Prayagraj, 21 Oct (HS): The BJP has no answers to the
public's questions on issues like unemployment, paper leaks, inflation,
farmers' problems, and vote theft. The BJP is alarmed by the PDA's unity. The
people of the state are ready to remove the BJP from power on these issues.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday at a hotel in Prayagraj's Civil Lines,
Samajwadi Party state president Shyam Lal Pal said, “Samajwadi Party candidates
will win the most seats in the state's Teachers' and Graduates' Legislative
Council elections. He said that the party is contesting the elections on public
issues and that the unity of the PDA is the SP's strength.”
There is a possibility of SP leaders being put under house
arrest before the polling: Dr. Mansingh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party candidate
for the Graduate Legislative Council elections, accused the BJP of conspiring
with the administration in the election. He expressed apprehension that
attempts could be made to confine influential Samajwadi Party leaders to their
homes on the day of voting. He also alleged that attempts could be made to
intimidate and threaten voters. Dr. Yadav expressed apprehension that an
attempt could be made to replicate the Milkipur situation.
Dr. Mansingh Yadav stated that the Samajwadi Party is firm
on issues related to education and employment. He stated that preventing paper
leaks, giving respectable status to Shikshamitras, implementing the Advocates
Protection Act, paying honorarium to instructors and unaided teachers, and
streamlining the examination calendar are among the party's priorities. He
claimed that voter sentiment favors the SP on these issues.
Many leaders were present in the press conference: During
this, many party leaders and officials including SP District President Anil
Yadav, Metropolitan President Syed Iftekhar Hussain, MLA Vijma Yadav, Hakim Lal
Bind, Geeta Shastri and Sandeep Patel, former MLA Haji Mujtaba Siddiqui, Haji
Parvez Ahmed, Satyaveer Munna, Amarnath Maurya, party spokesperson Dan Bahadur
Madhur, Ravindra Yadav Advocate and Engineer Jagdish Yadav were present.
