New Delhi, 21 October (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing to kick-start its campaign preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. BJP National President Nitin Nabin and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are expected to step up the party’s election-related preparations at the state executive committee meeting scheduled for the end of this month.
According to party sources, Nabin is expected to attend the BJP’s Uttar Pradesh state executive committee meeting, scheduled for October 30 and 31, for one day. Both Nabin and Amit Shah are expected to address members of the committee.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, both Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, state BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary, state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal, and Vinod Tawde, the BJP’s general secretary in charge of Uttar Pradesh, are also expected to interact with party office-bearers, legislators, MPs and former MPs from across the state.
According to sources, the meeting is likely to focus on the strategy for the forthcoming Assembly elections, strengthening the party organisation and improving coordination between the state government and the party.
In addition to the state executive committee meeting, Amit Shah may hold meetings with booth-level workers from different regions of Uttar Pradesh in the coming weeks. The primary objective of these interactions would be to assess the party’s grassroots position and strengthen its organisational machinery ahead of the elections.
Party sources said Shah has been placing particular emphasis on strengthening the organisation in poll-bound states and engaging directly with party workers. A similar approach is expected to be adopted in Uttar Pradesh, with plans to mobilise workers at the booth level and reinforce preparations for the upcoming electoral contest.
Through these meetings, the party leadership may review the preparedness of its workers, assess the organisational strength of different regions and focus on improving coordination at the local level.
Uttar Pradesh has long held considerable political significance for the BJP. The party is therefore keen to strengthen its preparations well ahead of the Assembly elections. The proposed state executive committee meeting and the planned interactions with booth-level workers are being viewed as important steps in this direction.
Amit Shah’s possible presence and Nitin Nabin’s proposed visit are expected to provide the state organisation with an opportunity to discuss and refine its election strategy.
