Imphal, 20 October (HS): Security forces have arrested three people and recovered several rocket launchers and automatic rifles during an operation at Phailenkot in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district on Tuesday, as search operations continue following a deadly attack on wood collectors.

The security crackdown follows a gun attack at Khongban Sunurok Uyok that claimed three lives and left three others injured. The incident has prompted security personnel to intensify search operations in the affected areas.

Police commandos from Imphal East district, assisted by personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), are continuing the operations to trace those involved in the attack and strengthen security in the region.

The authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of the arrested individuals or provided further details about the weapons seized during the operation. Additional information is awaited.-----------
