(HS): The Alandi Municipal Council has
started inspecting coaching classes and various establishments in the town
after the tragic death of eight students from Alandi who had gone for a picnic
to Diveagar in Raigad district. During this inspection, the Winners Academy
building was raided to verify the relevant income source and permission to
conduct tuition classes and subsequently the Academy was sealed.
On the orders of CEO of the municipal corporation,
Madhav Khandekar, a team of the municipal council, led by the head of the tax
department, Seema Charve, sealed the documents relevant of Winners Academy.
The process of inspection has been initiated by the
Municipal Council to ensure that coaching classes and other establishments
comply with the rules.
