Mumbai, 02 Oct (HS):

The Maharashtra Government has taken a decision to transfer about 14 acres of

government land for Dadasaheb Phalke Film City for outdoor shooting of films.

The land in Mumbai’s Mankhurd in Kurla Tehsil, under the Revenue Department

will be transferred to the Department of Cultural Affairs.

The decision was

taken under the directions of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and initiative

by Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule under Section 40 of Maharashtra

Revenue Land Act of 1966.

Bawankule said that

the basic amenities will be provided for the Film City by the State Government.
