
Lucknow, 2 Oct (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister
Keshav Prasad Maurya paid his respects to Mahatma Gandhi, and former Prime
Minister of the country, Bharat Ratna Lal Bahadur Shastri, on their birth
anniversaries. On Friday, he paid tribute to the two great personalities by
laying wreaths and offering floral tributes to their memorial portraits at his
official residence (7 Kalidas Marg) in Lucknow.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister, recalling the
contributions of both national leaders, said that Mahatma Gandhi's message of
truth and non-violence, and Lal Bahadur Shastri's simplicity, dedication, and
spirit of national service will always be a source of inspiration for all of
us. He further said that the ideals of these two great personalities will
continue to inspire us to continuously move forward on the path of public
service, national interest, and duty.
