Lucknow, 2 Oct (HS): On the occasion of the birth

anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Lal

Bahadur Shastri, a solemn program was organized at the Basic Education

Directorate and State Project Office (Samagra Shiksha) in Nishatganj, Lucknow.

Director General of School Education Monica Rani paid homage to both great men

by garlanding and offering flowers to their portraits. On this occasion,

officers and employees participated in the song Raghupati Raghav Raja

Ram and paid tribute to the great men.

Highlighting Gandhiji's economic thinking, self-reliance,

and educational philosophy, the Director General described his ideas as a

source of inspiration for value-based education. She said that Gandhi and

Shastri's ideas embody the values of education, truth, non-violence, and

duty.

In the programme, APD Rajendra Prasad, Senior Advisor V.D.

Sharma, MIS in-charge Rajesh Shahi and expert Nandkumar (Integrated) along with

other officers also shared their views on the life values, simplicity and

ideals of both the great men.
