
New Delhi, 02 October (H.S.): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai paid a courtesy visit to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin at his residence in New Delhi on Friday.
According to sources, during the meeting, Chief Minister Sai briefed Nitin Nabin on the development works underway in Chhattisgarh, welfare schemes and various governance initiatives being undertaken by the state government. He also apprised him of the progress of development activities in different sectors, employment opportunities and various public welfare programmes.
The Chief Minister also discussed the efforts being undertaken to accelerate development across all regions of the state, including Bastar. The two leaders exchanged views on various issues concerning the development of Chhattisgarh and matters related to the organisation.
It is noteworthy that on Thursday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi participated in a high-level meeting held at Kartavya Bhavan under the chairmanship of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah to work towards resolving the long-standing Mahanadi water dispute between Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
During the meeting, both states presented their respective positions and agreed to continue technical-level discussions towards an amicable resolution of the issue.
