Hyderabad, 19 October (H.S.): The banks of Hussain Sagar at Tank Bund came alive with colourful floral displays, folk performances and traditional Bathukamma songs as Telangana celebrated Saddula Bathukamma on Sunday evening, with Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, his wife Janaki Shukla and state ministers attending the festivities.
The Governor extended greetings to the people on the occasions of Bathukamma, Navaratri and Vijayadashami. The programme featured 700 artists presenting 30 traditional art forms, showcasing the diversity of Telangana's folk traditions. Around 700 floral Bathukamma arrangements, decorated with colourful seasonal flowers, added to the festive atmosphere along the Hussain Sagar waterfront.
