Prayagraj, 19 Oct (HS): On the Mahanavami festival of Navratri festival in the

temple of Mahashakti Peeth Maa Kalyani Devi, a huge crowd of devotees gathered,

who remained engaged from morning till late night for the darshan and worship

of the mother. At 5:30 in the morning, the Mangala Aarti of Maa Kalyani was

worshipped by the General Secretary Pandit Shyam Ji Pathak and the doors of the

mother's court were opened for the devotees.

As soon as the doors opened, the mother's abode echoed with

the cheers of the devotees and the devotees offered Halwa, Pundi flower,

coconut and Chunari to the mother. After that, President Pandit Sushil Pathak

worshipped the virgin girls and fed them and bid them farewell. Under the

guidance of Pandit Shyam Ji Pathak and Yagyacharya Santoshanand, the worship of

Maa Siddhidatri was done by the Brahmins with the chanting of Om Aim Hreem

Kleem Siddhidatryai Namah. After worshipping, the Shatchandi Mahayagna was

completed at 2 pm and the children's tonsure and ear-piercing rituals were

performed. And a huge feast was organised which continued till late night.

At 7 pm, Pandit Sushil Pathak performed the Maha Aarti of Goddess Kalyani, the

form of Goddess Siddhidatri. On the occasion of Mahanavami, Goddess Kalyani,

seated on a lotus flower, held a conch, a chakra, a mace, and a flower in her

hands and gave the devotees divine darshan of Goddess Siddhidatri. The sanctum

sanctorum of the Goddess was adorned with gold, inlaid ornaments, and numerous

flowers.

On this occasion, a cultural program based on Nari Shakti Vandan was organized

by the state government at the North Central Cultural Center under Mission

Shakti. On the occasion of Mahanavami, Justice Sunita Gupta (Supreme Court),

Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, MP Ujjwal Raman Singh, Mayor Ganesh

Kesarwani, District Magistrate Manish Verma, Municipal Commissioner Sai Teja,

Vijay Mishra etc. visited the temple of Maa Kalyani and offered prayers to her.

Rajesh Kesarwani, Anil Pathak, Krishna Kumar Pathak, Dilip Pathak, Rajendra

Kesarwani, Mukesh Vimal, Dharmendra, Rahul etc. took care of the arrangements

of the fair.
