Mumbai, 19 Oct (HS): Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) leader and MLA Jitendra

Awhad received a phone call threatening him of shooting down. The caller also

abused Awhad. The call was received by him around 4.30 pm on Sunday. Awhad has

lodged a complaint with the police.

According

to the complaint the unknown caller made three calls. He said that his killers

are right in front of his house. Awhad has also posted the information on social

media.

After

getting the threat call, his party worker Hemant Wani tried to contact the

caller. Wani was also threatened of shooting down with Awhad.

The threat

call and the issue of security of political and social leaders is being

discussed. Police had not arrested anyone in this connection. Investigation has

been initiated.
