Letter of Intent issued to 'Om Shri Sai Shiksha Samiti';

Youth of Aligarh and surrounding areas will get better opportunities for higher

and professional education

Yogi government committed to expanding quality, transparent and modern higher

education: Yogendra Upadhyay

Lucknow, 18 Oct (HS): State Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay presented

a formal Letter of Intent (LOI) to the representatives of the sponsoring

organization 'Om Shri Sai Shiksha Samiti, Aligarh' at his official residence in

Lucknow for the establishment of the proposed 'Sai Global University, Aligarh'

in the private sector. This letter of intent has been duly issued by the Higher

Education Department after the approval of the competent authority under the

provisions of Section 6 of the 'Uttar Pradesh Private University Act, 2019'.

On this occasion, Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyaya stated that

under the able leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state

government is committed to providing world-class, employable, and quality

higher education to youth near their home areas. He added that the Yogi

government is making private sector investment transparent and accessible, so

that an excellent ecosystem of higher education can be created in the state. He

directed the sponsoring body to commence educational activities within the

stipulated timeframe, meeting all prescribed standards.

According to the letter of intent issued, the sponsoring organization 'Om Shri

Sai Shiksha Samiti' will have to fulfill the mandatory conditions under the

'Uttar Pradesh Private University Act, 2019' within the next two years and

submit a compliance report to the government. Additional Chief Secretary Higher

Education Amit Ghosh was present on this occasion.
