Ahmedabad, October 17 (H.S.): Abhimanyu Singh Bhati, a shooter supported by Adani Sportsline’s ‘Garv Hai’ initiative, won the silver medal at the 11th All India Open Pre-National Shooting Championship held in Delhi. Competing in the men’s skeet event, Abhimanyu scored 43 out of 50 points. Although his score matched that of the gold medallist, he had to settle for second place following a countback.
The competition was held from October 5 to 7. Abhimanyu’s achievement comes ahead of the National Shooting Championship scheduled for November. Over the past four to five months, he has been training under the guidance of his official coach, Baba P.S. Bedi. He has also been receiving advice from his mentor, Kesari Singh Bhati, to refine his technique and maintain consistent improvement in competitive performances.
Speaking through Adani Sportsline, Abhimanyu said, “It is disappointing to miss out on the gold medal on countback after scoring 43 points, but I am happy with my performance. It was a good test, and it has given me confidence for the next competition in November. I am grateful to my coach, Baba P.S. Bedi, my mentor, Kesari Singh Bhati, and Adani Sportsline for their support.”
Adani Sportsline has been supporting Abhimanyu under its ‘Garv Hai’ initiative since August 2025. Through the programme, he receives specialised physiotherapy and mental conditioning training to help him prepare more effectively for high-level competitions.
Physiotherapy helps him cope with the physical demands of intensive training sessions and competitions that extend over several days. Mental conditioning, meanwhile, helps him maintain concentration and composure under pressure. Both aspects are particularly important in a precision-based sport such as skeet shooting.
The support has enabled Abhimanyu to focus on his training and technical development. He is now turning his attention to the National Shooting Championship in November, where he will seek to build on his recent performance and achieve an even stronger result.
