Mumbai, 17 October (H.S.): Amid ongoing speculation about the relationship between music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Kavya Maran, chief executive officer of Sunrisers Hyderabad, the date of their wedding reception has come to light.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy shared the information on social media, stating that a grand reception for the couple would be held in Chennai on November 21. Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran and his wife, Kavery Maran, visited the Chief Minister’s residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, to extend an invitation to the event.

Speculation about Kavya and Anirudh’s relationship has been circulating since last year, following social media posts in 2025. At the time, Anirudh dismissed the reports as rumours, but speculation about the two continued. In June this year, Anirudh’s uncle, actor Y. G. Mahendran, also spoke about him marrying into a prominent family. However, neither Anirudh nor Kavya has made an official announcement regarding their marriage so far.

Reports have also suggested that Kavya and Anirudh may get married in Greece, although this has not been officially confirmed.

Anirudh is among the prominent music composers in South Indian cinema and has also composed music for Jailer 2. His upcoming projects include Shah Rukh Khan’s film King and Kamal Haasan’s Indian 3. Kavya Maran, meanwhile, is widely known as the owner and chief executive officer of the Indian Premier League franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad.
