New Delhi, October 17 (H.S.): A high-powered committee constituted by the Supreme Court in July 2026 to investigate incidents of violence at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and at various locations outside the national capital has launched a portal to receive complaints and suggestions from affected individuals.

According to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, the committee has launched the portal, [http://hpec.nic.in](http://hpec.nic.in), to facilitate the submission of complaints by affected individuals, police personnel and other stakeholders. Through the portal, those affected can submit their complaints, representations and relevant supporting materials in the prescribed format.

The committee will examine all issues specified in paragraphs 12 and 13 of the Supreme Court’s order dated August 18, 2026, and paragraph 5(i) of its order dated September 10, 2026. The investigation will accord priority to the use of pellet guns, violence and harassment directed at women protesters, and incidents involving excessive violence and damage to property by both sides.

According to the ministry, the portal has been designed to ensure appropriate protection for sensitive witnesses. The identities of affected individuals will be kept confidential and will not be made public if they so wish.
