Oct (HS): Malegaon Fast Track Court has awarded death to the accused in raping

and killing a four-year-old girl in Dongrale village of Malegaon Tehsil of

Nashik district. The court also directed to pay a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to

the family of the victim.

Government Pleader Ujwal Nikam informed the media

that the accused Vijay alias Shekhar Khairnar lured the victim by giving

chocolate and took her to an isolated place. Vijay raped her and then killed

her on 16 November 2025. The police examined 24 witnesses and filed 225 page

chargesheet.

There was no witness to the incident nor any CCTV

footage. But based on circumstantial evidence Vijay was proved to have

committed the heinous crime and trying to destroy evidence. The court awarded ‘hanging

till death’ in the rarest of rare case. Vijay Khairnar has been granted one

month’s period for filing appeal in the upper court.
