New Delhi, October 16 (H.S.): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Nabin on Friday criticised opposition parties campaigning for the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner, alleging that their real objective was to create anarchy in the country and seize power at any cost.
In a post on X,Nitin Nabin said the opposition’s fight was neither about electoral reforms, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls nor the future of the country’s youth. He alleged that the opposition’s sole objective was to create anarchy in the country and gain power by any means.
Referring to the democratic system, Nitin Nabin said the path to power lay through the people’s mandate, not through anarchy. He asserted that any attempt to weaken democratic processes and institutions in the country could not be accepted.
The BJP president also criticised the opposition over the use of expressions such as “regime change” by senior advocate Prashant Bhushan. He said such language exposed what he described as the opposition’s real agenda. Nabin further alleged that attempts to destabilise India in collaboration with foreign forces were part of what he termed the “Urban Naxal” agenda.
Nitin Nabin said the country’s patriotic citizens and the BJP would not allow any attempt to undermine the democratic system to succeed.
