Parade to be held from 5 pm to 5:30 pm instead of the earlier slot of 5:30 pm to 6 pm
Amritsar, 16 October (H.S.): The timings of the daily Retreat Ceremony at the Attari-Wagah border have been revised. From Friday onwards, the ceremony will be held from 5 pm to 5:30 pm, replacing the earlier schedule of 5:30 pm to 6 pm.
Border Security Force (BSF) officials stationed at the Wagah border said visitors travelling from different parts of the country and abroad to witness the ceremony should plan their arrival accordingly and reach the venue by 5 pm.
The daily Retreat Ceremony at the Attari-Wagah border is a major attraction for tourists visiting the region. A large number of people gather to watch the spirited parade by BSF personnel and the traditional closing of the border gates between India and Pakistan.
