Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission gives relief to candidates; extends online corrections till Oct 31

No change in schedule of written exam; to be held on previously scheduled dates of Dec 3 and 4, 2026

Lucknow/ Prayagraj, 16 Oct (HS): The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, Prayagraj, has extended the last date for the ongoing online application process for the selection of12,405 assistant teacherposts in primary schools affiliated to non-government aided secondary schools and council urban schools of the Basic Education Department. Commission Chairman Dr. Prashant Kumar said that now candidates will be able to apply online and deposit fees till October 28, 2026, while the last date for making amendments in the online application has been fixed as October 31, 2026.

Advertisement number 05/2026 was published for direct recruitment to 897 posts of Assistant Teacher Affiliated Primary (Non-Government Aided Secondary School) and 11,508 posts of Assistant Teacher, Urban under the Basic Education Department. Earlier, the last date for online application and fee submission was October 15, 2026 and the last date for amendment in the application was October 19, 2026, which has been revised and extended in view of student interest.

The important dates as per the revised timetable are as follows:

Revised last date for online application and fee submission: October 28, 2026

Revised last date for correction in online application: October 31, 2026

Sanjay Kumar Singh, Deputy Secretary of the Commission, stated that despite the extension of the application and correction deadlines, there has been no change in the dates of the written examination. The written examination for this recruitment will be held as scheduled on December 3 and 4, 2026.
