Varanasi, 15 Oct (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath said that the government can undertake major projects, including

construction, but the responsibility for its protection and security lies with

an aware society and the public. If the public is not aware, even the most

significant projects can collapse quickly. In Prayagraj, the mafia had occupied

land; after clearing it, the government is planning to construct high-rise

buildings for the poor, Dalits, and the underprivileged. In Uttar Pradesh, the

mafia's place is only in the soil, and mansions for the poor will be built on

the occupied land.

The Chief Minister honored the sanitation workers from the

Municipal Corporation and Jal Nigam at the Swachhata Mitra Samman ceremony here

on Thursday. He showered flowers on the sanitation workers and served them

food. A short film on their public welfare work was also shown at the ceremony,

held at Saroj Palace in Kabirchaura. The Chief Minister said that the

sanitation workers are implementing the Clean Kashi mission of the

local MP and the world's most popular leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He

said that sanitation workers are the foundation stones, invisible, but the

building stands on them. Swachhata workers take to the streets during winter,

summer, rain, storms, and festivals to provide a clean environment to society.

First, they make your environment festive and ultimately, they make their

children celebrate. Some people spread filth through their actions and deeds,

but a large section, through their efforts and hard work, provides a clean

environment for the public. It was because of the sanitation workers that the

Prayagraj Mahakumbh was clean, divine, and grand. 66 crore devotees visited the

event, and everyone praised the cleanliness.

Rejuvenation of immortal Kashi: The Chief Minister said that

Kashi has changed. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the eternal

Kashi has been rejuvenated. Before 2014, the narrow streets of Kashi were

filled with filth. Cattle and bulls roamed the streets. People had to crave for

electricity. Bad ghats, traffic jams and filth had become Kashi's identity and

destiny. Before 2017, the mafia used to spread fear by occupying the land of

the poor and businessmen in Kashi, but now Kashi is growing with a new aura and

a new look, preserving its spiritual and cultural heritage.

Only those who consider the country as their family can

bring about change: Chief Minister Yogi taunted the opposition, saying that the

plight of those with a mind of Manthra is no secret. It is the responsibility

of every conscious citizen to stand with the truth, bring it to the surface,

and take responsibility for security and protection. Taking a dig at the

Samajwadi Party, he said that public representatives should also be vigilant.

When a public representative wakes up at 12 o'clock and makes the mistake of

considering the family as society and the state, then misfortune is certain.

Only those who consider the society, the state, and the country as family can

bring about change.

Safety of government construction works is everyone's

responsibility: The Chief Minister described the ward visits and cleanliness

campaign, conducted by MLA Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari in Kashi from July 19th to

October 2nd (76 days), as a symbol of reconstruction. He said that this was the

rainy season, but if a little caution and cleanliness is maintained, diseases

like dengue, kala-azar, malaria, and encephalitis cannot come near. Emphasizing

awareness, he said that all citizens should protect and preserve the

construction done by the government and not allow anyone to cause any damage.

A popular public representative is one who has access to every

household: Yogi Adityanath said that a popular public representative is one who

has access to every household. Public representatives should devote as much

time as possible to their areas. During this 76-day ward tour, the needy

benefited from government welfare schemes, including health camps, Ayushman

cards, housing, PM Vishwakarma, and other amenities. All public representatives

must ensure that information about government schemes reaches the eligible.

Made to feel a sense of responsibility: The Chief Minister,

while reminding the public of their responsibility, said that we take from

nature, but what are we giving back? In this context, Prime Minister Narendra

Modi's mission, One Tree for Mother, is most appropriate for a

clean environment. This campaign includes four distinct programs (honoring

sanitation workers, environmental purity, protecting government construction

projects, and awareness).

The solution to the problem comes from dialogue: Chief

Minister Yogi said that the only solution to problems is dialogue. Municipal

corporations, development authorities, local administrations, and various

government departments are part of this campaign. Everyone is ready to work;

all that is needed is someone to take action. There shouldn't be a complaining

tone in everything. There should also be a tendency to get things done. Such

programs are an inspiration for other public representatives.

Clean India Campaign gave the country a new identity: Yogi

said that Prime Minister Modi has given the country a new identity by taking

the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to new heights of success. The Prime Minister's

inspiration has become an example for the world. Before the Swachh Bharat

Abhiyan, the condition of villages and streets was extremely poor. Those who

cleaned with brooms were not even respected. Despite their work, their wages

were deducted.

Strict action will be taken against those who deduct money

from sanitation workers: The Chief Minister said that in Uttar Pradesh, we have

decided that strict action will be taken against those who defraud sanitation

workers. We are guaranteeing their honorarium. Now, the Uttar Pradesh

Outsourcing Corporation is working. The minimum honorarium should be Rs. 16,000.

Hospital treatment facilities should be available under ESI. Workers will

receive safety insurance so that their families are not left helpless in the

event of an accident. PF will also be deducted. Upon retirement, they will have

their own capital and will also receive interest from the bank, so they will not

be dependent on their children.

Before this, the guests were welcomed by Varanasi City South

MLA Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari. State government ministers Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu,

Hansraj Vishwakarma, Mayor Ashok Tiwari, MLA Saurabh Srivastava, Dr. Awadhesh

Singh, Tribhuvan Ram, District Panchayat President Poonam Maurya, former

Maharashtra Minister Kripashankar Singh, BJP Metropolitan President Pradeep

Agrahari, and others were present.

Chief Minister honored 10 Swachhata Mitras: In the function,

the Chief Minister honoured Swachhata Mitra Wasim, Rohit Rawat, Rajkumar,

Purnimaasi, Ashutosh, Dinesh, Sunil, Rekha, Alpana, Chinta Devi on the stage by

garlanding them, giving them clothes and gifts.
