Israeli Ambassador to India Casts Vote Ahead of October 27 Elections

New Delhi, 15 October (H.S.): Israel's Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, cast his vote at the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi ahead of the Israeli elections scheduled for October 27, according to information shared by the embassy.

Israeli diplomatic missions across the world have begun facilitating early voting for eligible diplomats and their family members ahead of the elections to the 26th Knesset. The voting arrangement is being coordinated by Israel's Foreign Ministry and the Central Elections Committee.

A total of 101 polling stations have been established at 99 Israeli diplomatic missions worldwide for the overseas voting programme. Around 4,800 eligible participants are expected to cast their ballots under the arrangement, which allows specified categories of Israeli officials serving abroad and their eligible family members to vote outside the country.

The physical ballots will be transported to Israel after voting concludes for counting as part of the election process.
