In aviation, this code is used to indicate an unlawful interference situation, including a hijacking. However, the precise reason for the signal has not yet been officially confirmed.
The security alert was subsequently shared with Jaipur ATC. At around 9:10 a.m., the aircraft was diverted to Jaipur. It landed safely at Jaipur International Airport at approximately 9:45 a.m.
Under the supervision of security agencies, passengers were deplaned and escorted to the terminal. Inspections of the aircraft and passengers’ baggage are under way. Authorities have not yet officially confirmed whether any suspicious objects were found or announced the final outcome of the security checks.
According to sources, the Union Home Ministry has taken the incident seriously and directed a National Security Guard (NSG) commando team in Delhi to remain on standby. The team may also be deployed to Jaipur, sources indicated.
