Prayagraj, 14 Oct (HS): The document verification and
medical examination for 2020 posts advertised for various Level-1 positions
under Centralized Employment Notice No. 08/2024 has been scheduled from
26.10.2026 to 23.11.2026 at the Railway Recruitment Cell, Prayagraj. The detailed
document verification schedule and category/community-wise cutoffs were
released on the official RRC website on 12.10.2026. In this regard, it is to be
noted that the respective RRBs shortlist candidates for CCAA, PwBD,
Ex-Servicemen, etc., as per the vacancies notified in the horizontal categories
and submit the data along with the master file to the respective RRC, which is
then released by the Railway Recruitment Cell. Regarding the above, the
following factual position is conveyed:
Today, on 14.10.2026, a group of approximately 60-70 CCAA candidates gathered
at the RRC/Prayagraj office for document verification being conducted under
Centralized Employment Notice No. 08/2024 (Level-1). In this regard, it is
informed that the community-wise details in the schedule issued for document
verification and medical examination are as follows: [PwBD – 80, ExSM – 282,
CCAA – 400, General (Non Horizontal) – 1253] Out of the 404 notified CCAA
vacancies, 04 vacancies have been reserved in light of the order passed by the
Honorable CAT, Lucknow in OA No. 387/2025. The cutoff for any direct
recruitment exam depends on the availability of vacancies, community,
reservation, and merit. In CEN RRC01/2019, 4730 vacancies were notified for
North Central Railway. While 2020 vacancies have been notified in CEN 08/2024,
the shortlisting of candidates for document verification, the procedure
followed for document verification, and the selection of panels are based on
the instructions contained in CEN 08/2024 and the rules issued by the Railway
Board. This process is the same for all RRCs/RRBs.
On 13.10.2026, the RRC, Central Railway, Mumbai released the
document verification schedule and cutoffs for approximately 3200 vacancies.
Although the vacancies notified in RRC/Central Railway are higher than those
notified for RRC Prayagraj, an overview of the cutoff marks and patterns across
different categories/communities reveals a similarity in the cutoff marks and
patterns across different categories/communities, confirming the facts stated
in paragraphs 4 and 6.
Some candidates have raised the issue of non-Railway CCAA candidates being
rejected before document verification. In this regard, it is important to
review the following instructions from CEN 08/2024. Paragraph 7 (Important Instructions
for Registration and Submission of Online Applications) - A candidate's
eligibility will be determined solely on the basis of the information provided
in their online application. If, during or after the recruitment process, any
information provided by a candidate in their application is found to be
false/incorrect or has suppressed relevant information, or if the candidate
does not meet the requisite criteria for the post(s), their eligibility will be
cancelled. Paragraph 1.3 (General Instructions) - The RRB/RRC verifies the
eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the
candidates have qualified in all the stages of examination and have been
shortlisted for document verification.
At the time of document verification, the RRC will verify
the details provided in the online application against the original supporting
documents submitted by the candidates. Any discrepancy between the information
declared in the application and the supporting documents or failure to meet the
eligibility criteria (such as educational qualification, age, category/caste,
medical standards) will result in rejection of the candidature. Further, if it
is detected at any stage of recruitment or thereafter, that a candidate has
furnished incorrect information or has suppressed material facts; his/her
candidature or appointment will be cancelled forthwith. Para 14.3 - Appointment
of selected candidates will be subject to their passing the requisite medical
fitness test, final verification of educational and community certificates and
verification of antecedents/character of the candidates, conducted by the
Railway Administration. All stages of the recruitment process are conducted
with complete transparency and in accordance with the rules. Information regarding
this is periodically released on the official website of RRC/Prayagraj.
