Lucknow, 14 Oct (HS): In his official statement on X, the
Chief Minister brilliantly defined Maa Kushmanda, the fourth form of Goddess
Durga, as an immortal emblem of creativity, vitality, and wealth. He lays out a
clear path for societal growth, demonstrating how providing women with active
opportunities serves as a catalyst for transforming economic or social
constraints (scarcity) into hard work (diligence), which naturally breeds
economic independence (self-reliance) and eventually leads to collective wealth
(prosperity).
Yogi Adityanath frequently connects these spiritual Navratri musings to state
programs such as Mission Shakti, emphasizing that safeguarding women's safety,
dignity, and active economic engagement is critical to establishing a developed
and wealthy society.
According to CM Yogi Adityanath, rural women are
transforming from passive beneficiaries of development to active builders of
village economies. The state government emphasizes grassroots initiatives,
financial inclusion, and technology-driven programs that enable women to drive
structural transformation in rural business. The UP Chief Minister underscored
this transformation in rural dynamics, adding that women in the state are
moving from being the foundation of family affluence to being creators of local
economies and development leaders. According to the state government, these
targeted welfare and skill development initiatives under Mission Shakti are
effectively turning female workforce participation into active, self-reliant
leadership throughout rural Uttar Pradesh.
In a post on X, he mentioned, “The eternal symbol of
creation, energy, and prosperity, the worship of Mother Kushmanda conveys the
message—where women are empowered and given opportunities, scarcity transforms
into diligence, diligence into self-reliance, and self-reliance into
prosperity. The women of Uttar Pradesh are no longer merely beneficiaries of
development; they are becoming the architects of village economies and the
architects of the destiny of New India. Before 2017, there were neither
opportunities nor resources for women, nor did the government have the policy
or the intent. Today, under the guidance of the honorable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi
ji, the state's double-engine government is connecting village sisters to a new
path of self-reliance.”
“BC Sakhi are the empowered link in providing banking
services in villages; Lakhpati Didi have become the new identity of economic
independence; Drone Didi are leading the adoption of modern technology in
farming; and through self-help groups and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs),
opportunities for livelihoods, entrepreneurship, and agriculture-based
employment are expanding for rural women. Now, women are no longer just the
foundation of family prosperity; they are becoming the operators of village
economies and the leaders of the development journey of the new Uttar Pradesh. Only
when the women of the village prosper will Uttar Pradesh truly become prosperous
and empowered. Jai Maa Kushmanda,” he added.
