Guwahati, 13 October (HS): The 1st Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Sonapur, organised a cleanliness drive at its Battalion Headquarters and all company locations on Tuesday under the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2026.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Battalion Commandant Sunil Kaushik and in compliance with the directions issued by SSB Headquarters.

Personnel from the Battalion Headquarters and its companies participated enthusiastically in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, focusing on maintaining cleanliness within the premises and surrounding areas. The initiative also aimed to spread awareness about hygiene and the importance of adopting clean and healthy practices in daily life.

The campaign sought to promote a clean and healthy environment, foster collective responsibility among personnel and strengthen awareness about sanitation and environmental protection.

Through the initiative, the 1st Battalion SSB, Sonapur, reaffirmed its commitment to cleanliness, environmental conservation and the promotion of a healthy living environment.------------
