Guwahati, 12 October (HS): Members of the Zubeen Fan Club staged a protest at Zubeen Khetra in Sonapur on Monday, demanding justice in connection with the death of popular Assamese singer Zubeen Garg.
The protest was organised amid growing resentment among the singer's fans following the recent grant of bail to Amritprabha Mahanta, an accused in the Zubeen Garg death case.
Garima Saikia Garg, wife of the late singer, was present at the protest site and expressed her displeasure over the development. The bail granted to the accused by the Gauhati High court has triggered fresh reactions among those seeking justice for the singer.
The demonstrators gathered at Zubeen Khetra to raise their demand for justice and draw attention to the ongoing case. The protest reflects the continued concern among the singer's admirers over the legal proceedings related to his death.
Zubeen Garg, one of Assam's most popular cultural icons, continues to command widespread affection among his fans, who have been demanding accountability in the case.------------
