Lucknow, 12 Oct (HS): On the occasion of Sharadiya
Navratri, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath sent an open letter
(Paati) to inhabitants of the state, inviting everyone to contribute to the
safety, education, and empowerment of women (Matrishakti) in order to establish
a developed Uttar Pradesh. He emphasized the importance of women's safety and
respect for progress and called on the public to join him in empowering daughters.
At Gorakhpur's Gorakhnath Mandir, he performed traditional Kalash Sthapana and
adored Maa Shailputri with Vedic hymns. On the first day of Navratri, he went
to the Maa Pateshwari Devi Shaktipeeth at Tulsipur, Balrampur, to pray for
peace and people's well-being.
“My esteemed fellow citizens of the state, On the sacred
festival of Sharadiya Navratri, dedicated to the worship of the victory and
power of Mahishasuramardini, heartfelt best wishes to all of you. The essence
of the triumph of humility, courage, strength, resolve, justice, and
righteousness over ego, obstinacy, attachment, and rising negative tendencies
is enshrined in the nine forms of the Mother. Even today, as society struggles
against such tendencies, Navratri reminds us that goodness becomes effective
only when it is empowered by strength and determination,” he stated in a post on
X.
“Uttar Pradesh is today emerging as a powerful center for
the revival of faith, culture, and tradition. To give true meaning to this
consciousness, daughters are being provided with education, security, and equal
opportunities. Let us, on this sacred occasion of Navratri, along with our
worship and fasting, also take this resolve: that we will become the voice for
the safety of any sister, extend support in the education of any girl child,
and serve as the pillar of strength for any woman on her path to self-reliance,”
he added.
