Lucknow, 12 Oct (HS): The political temperature in Uttar
Pradesh has risen sharply ahead of the 2027 assembly elections. The Bharatiya
Janata Party (BJP) has sharply retorted to the opposition's attacks on the
Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. Senior BJP leader and Uttar
Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya stated that the Congress and
Samajwadi Party (SP) have no real objection to the SIR, but rather, it's a
result of their panic about their political ground slipping in
2027.
Having completely lost public trust, Congress leader Rahul
Gandhi and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, instead of acknowledging their political
failures, are blaming the Election Commission and other constitutional
institutions. The opposition, lacking any concrete issues to reach out to the public,
has now become a central part of their political agenda: fear of defeat, the
use of baseless allegations, and attempts to mislead the public.
The BJP, targeting the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress
alliance, said that the intelligent people of Uttar Pradesh are well aware of
their politics of deceit and fraud. No matter how many tactics the
opposition employs, the people of the state will no longer be fooled.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya In his social
media post, he said that the countrymen and the people of Uttar Pradesh have
unwavering faith in the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his
resolve to develop India. On the strength of this public confidence, the
lotus will bloom with a resounding majority for the third
consecutive time in the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. With their
decisive mandate, the people will completely thwart any plans of the Samajwadi
Party and Congress to return to power.
