New Delhi, 12 October (H.S.): Delhi Government Cabinet Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh met Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Monday and invited him to attend ‘Adwitiya Ramlila 2026’, organised by the Sanatan Sanskaram Society.

During the meeting, the minister briefed the Vice-President on the distinctive features of the Ramlila and its objectives of promoting the ideals of Lord Shri Ram’s life, Indian culture and Sanatan traditions.

Ravinder Indraj Singh said that ‘Adwitiya Ramlila 2026’ aims to take the ideals of Lord Shri Ram to people from all walks of life and connect the younger generation with essential human values such as truth, sacrifice, righteousness, adherence to moral principles and a strong sense of duty.

He emphasised that cultural events of this kind play a significant role in strengthening moral values and fostering cultural awareness in society.

Organised by the Sanatan Sanskaram Society, ‘Adwitiya Ramlila 2026’ is being staged from October 9 to 20 at the DDA Ramlila Ground in Sector 23, Rohini, Delhi. The production depicts various episodes from the life of Lord Shri Ram through elaborate and grand theatrical performances.

The programme features several prominent episodes and events, including devotional musical evenings, the divine wedding of Lord Shiva, Sita Swayamvar, Ram Barat, Lord Shri Ram’s exile, the meeting between Lord Shri Ram and Kevat, Bharat Milap, the abduction of Sita, the burning of Lanka and the slaying of Ravana.

Through these performances, the organisers seek to familiarise audiences with India’s religious heritage and the ideals embodied by Lord Shri Ram.

One of the major attractions of the event is a specially designed Ram Darbar adorned with portraits of Maharishi Valmiki and Sant Ravidas. The presentation highlights the messages of India’s spiritual traditions, devotion and social harmony.

According to the organisers, ‘Adwitiya Ramlila 2026’ will conclude on October 20 with a grand enactment of the coronation of Lord Shri Ram.
