New Delhi, 12 October (H.S.): Entry and exit gates at six Delhi Metro stations will remain closed until 4 pm on Monday as part of security arrangements for the Congress protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said.

The restrictions cover Central Secretariat, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Janpath, Mandi House and Barakhamba Road stations. The DMRC said the decision had been taken for security reasons in view of the proposed demonstration.

Although entry and exit will remain suspended at these stations during the specified period, interchange facilities will continue to be available. Passengers will be able to change metro lines at the affected stations.

The DMRC said security agencies would review the situation and that further updates would be shared as necessary.

The restrictions are scheduled to remain in force until 4 pm on Monday, subject to any revision following the security review.
