Prayagraj, 11 Oct (HS): The Multidisciplinary Research Unit

(MRU) at Motilal Nehru Medical College organized a two-day workshop on

research, data analysis, and publication under the DHR-ICMR umbrella. In

collaboration with the Indian Journal of Medical Research (IJMR), the workshop

provided information on the process of peer-reviewing research papers and

publishing them in prestigious journals. The workshop aimed to educate

researchers on the correct interpretation of data, the analysis of research

results, and their effective presentation. The sessions addressed the factors

editors and reviewers consider when reviewing research papers.

A total of 35 participants took part in the workshop,

including faculty from Motilal Nehru Medical College, IMS-BHU, AIIMS Rae

Bareli, and GMC Chandigarh. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. A.K. Verma,

Principal and Patron of the Medical College. He welcomed the guests and

participants. The MRU team, led by Dr. Kavita Chawla, organized the event.

Dr. A.K. Verma said, Quality research is essential for

better treatment and policy decisions in the medical field. Researchers must be

able to analyze data accurately and present their findings in a scientific

manner. Such workshops are useful in improving research quality and

strengthening academic capacity.

Dr. Kavita Chawla said, Accurate data analysis and

clear presentation of findings are crucial in research. This workshop provided

participants with an opportunity to understand the process of preparing

research papers, improving their quality, and publishing in reputable journals.

We hope this will contribute to making medical research more effective and

qualitative.

Dr. Richa Singh concluded with a vote of thanks. According

to the organizers, the workshop was an important initiative toward improving

the quality of research in the medical field and helping researchers understand

the process of publishing their work.
