
New Delhi, 11 October (H.S.): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended the ‘Nari Shakti Manthan’ workshop organised at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office in Delhi on Sunday.
Held in the presence of BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) B. L. Santhosh, the workshop focused on discussions concerning women’s advancement, self-reliance and empowerment.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “women-led development” had given fresh impetus to the capabilities, self-respect and self-reliance of crores of girls and women across the country.
She said the government was committed to ensuring that every girl had access to education and equal opportunities to progress, every woman became self-reliant, and every mother felt assured about her daughter’s safe and bright future.
The Chief Minister emphasised that the capabilities, dignity and self-reliance of women would form the foundation for building a stronger Delhi and a developed India. She also underscored the importance of sustained efforts to empower women and ensure their greater participation in the mainstream of development.
Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi, BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Jay Panda, Delhi BJP in-charge Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, and Women and Child Development Ministers from BJP-ruled states were also present at the workshop.
The participants held meaningful discussions on various measures to accelerate efforts towards the advancement, self-reliance and empowerment of women, with an emphasis on strengthening their role in the country's overall development.
