The Indian Softball Cricket League (ISCL) has unveiled the official jersey for its second season at a ceremony held in New Delhi on Saturday night. Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina attended the event as the chief guest. The league’s second season will be held in Bengaluru from November 25 to December 30, featuring a total of 127 matches.
Actress Karishma Sharma and television personality Shefali Bagga were also present at the jersey unveiling ceremony. Representatives from the sports and entertainment industries attended the event.
The league aims to expand the reach of softball cricket and provide a common platform for players, teams, sponsors and sports enthusiasts.
Speaking as the chief guest, Suresh Raina said that initiatives associated with sports could play a significant role in bringing people together, encouraging young talent and creating new opportunities for players. He expressed hope that the league’s second season would provide players with a platform to showcase their abilities while encouraging greater participation in softball cricket.
Dr Gangadhar Raju, president of the league, said the organisers would place particular emphasis on structured competition and stronger audience engagement during the second season.
“We have planned 127 matches this season. Our objective is to expand the reach of the sport, create opportunities for players and bring teams, partners and audiences from across the country together on a common platform,” he said.
The league aims to develop softball cricket into a professionally organised competitive sport, encouraging greater participation while building audience interest.
The tournament in Bengaluru will feature teams and players from various regions. The organisers are hopeful that the upcoming season will further strengthen the profile and expand the reach of softball cricket across India.
