Gold prices continued to rise in the domestic bullion market on Sunday for the second consecutive day, tracking gains in the international market. Silver prices also witnessed a sharp rebound, rising by Rs 5,100 per kilogram after remaining unchanged for four consecutive days. Following the latest surge, gold prices increased by Rs 640 to Rs 700 per 10 grams across most bullion markets in the country.
Following these price movements, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,51,420 to Rs 1,51,570 per 10 grams in most domestic bullion markets. Meanwhile, 22-carat gold was priced between Rs 1,38,800 and Rs 1,38,950 per 10 grams. Silver prices also moved higher, with the white metal trading at Rs 2,40,000 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
On a weekly basis, both gold and silver recorded gains amid a strengthening trend in international markets. During the previous week's trading, the price of 24-carat gold climbed by as much as Rs 2,240 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold became costlier by up to Rs 2,050 per 10 grams over the week.
Silver, however, had remained largely unchanged during the previous week amid mixed global cues. The latest surge has pushed its weekly gain to Rs 5,100 per kilogram.
Gold and Silver Prices in Major Cities
In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,51,570 per 10 grams on Sunday, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,38,950 per 10 grams.
In Mumbai, the country's financial capital, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,51,420 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,38,800 per 10 grams. In Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,51,470 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,38,850 per 10 grams.
In Chennai, 24-carat gold was selling at Rs 1,51,420 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,38,800 per 10 grams. Kolkata also recorded the same rates, with 24-carat gold at Rs 1,51,420 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,38,800 per 10 grams.
In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,51,470 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,38,850 per 10 grams.
In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,51,570 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,38,950 per 10 grams. In Patna, 24-carat gold was selling at Rs 1,51,470 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,38,850 per 10 grams.
In Lucknow, the bullion market quoted 24-carat gold at Rs 1,51,570 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,38,950 per 10 grams.
Gold prices also maintained an upward trend in the bullion markets of Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha. In the state capitals of Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,51,420 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,38,800 per 10 grams in all three cities.
