Kamrup (Assam), 10 October (HS): Two motorcycle riders were killed in a road accident involving an unidentified vehicle in Hajo under Kamrup (Rural) district of Assam, police said on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Jayanta Barman and Vicky Boro. While Barman was a resident of Singimari in Kamrup district, Boro hailed from Goreswar.

According to police, the accident occurred in the Hajo area when the motorcycle riders were hit by an unidentified vehicle. Both victims killed on the spot due to the impact of the collision.

Following the incident, a police team reached the spot and recovered the bodies. The bodies were subsequently sent to a hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police have registered a case in connection with the accident and launched an investigation to identify the vehicle involved and trace its driver. Further investigation into the circumstances leading to the accident is underway.-----------
