Hooghly, 10 October (H.S.): A 70-year-old man, Kamal Ghosh, a resident of the Bandel-Balagarh area in Hooghly district, has been missing for the past 13 days. His worried family has approached the police for help in tracing him.
According to family sources, Ghosh, who once worked in photo framing near Bandel Church, admitted his wife, Rita Ghosh, to Chinsurah Imambara Hospital on September 28 after she complained of breathing difficulties. He accompanied her to the hospital but never returned home.
After two days, when her husband did not visit her, Rita borrowed someone’s phone and called a neighbour. She learned that their house was locked and her husband had not returned home from the hospital.
After being discharged, Rita returned home and informed her relatives about the incident. A missing-person complaint was subsequently lodged at Chinsurah Police Station.
Even after 13 days, there has been no information about Kamal Ghosh’s whereabouts. The family remains deeply worried and is unable to understand why or where he disappeared. Police have begun searching for him. Reports suggest that the absence of a mobile phone with the missing man has made the search more
difficult.
