Mumbai, 10 October (H.S.): The music of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar, is set to make its mark on the international stage. The film’s soundtrack, composed by Shashwat Sachdev, has been submitted for consideration at the 69th Annual Grammy Awards. T-Series and B62 Studios shared the announcement on social media. Ahead of the prestigious awards ceremony, scheduled to take place on February 7, a promotional campaign is also reportedly underway to draw attention to the film’s music.

However, inclusion in the Grammys’ For Your Consideration (FYC) campaign does not mean that the film has secured an official nomination. The FYC process allows music to be submitted for consideration by the Recording Academy as part of the awards selection process. The submission nevertheless offers an opportunity to bring the film’s soundtrack to greater international attention. Shashwat Sachdev’s work on the film has been put forward for consideration in the Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media category.

This category recognises compilation soundtracks created for films and other visual media. The submission of Dhurandhar: The Revenge’s music for Grammy consideration is therefore being viewed as a significant milestone for the film’s team, potentially extending the soundtrack’s reach beyond the Indian music and film industries.

It remains to be seen whether the soundtrack will advance from the consideration stage to secure an official Grammy nomination.
