
Mumbai, 10 Oct (HS): Nine accused, including two police
personnel were arrested by the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police. The accused were
illegally selling confidential phone call records and mobile locations.
Crime Branch DCP Navnath Dhawle informed on Saturday
that Oshiwara Police apprehended an individual claiming to have the call
details and detecting lost mobile phones. The accused was impersonating as
Police Officer Sanjay. Based on his interrogation the Crime Branch arrested two
police personnel, one of whom belong to Bihar and other from Jharkhand. Both
possessed 50 CDR, date related to 520 customers, 550 location records, 420 international
mobile equipment identity (EMEI) and seven mobile phones.
Those arrested were sharing the call details and
other information in cases of marital disputes, business rivalries and
employees’ activities.
