Mumbai, 10 Oct (HS): BJP Spokesperson Navnath Ban on Saturday has questioned
stance by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi through a press conference in Mumbai.
Rahul Gandhi is leading agitation against CEC Gyanesh Kumar and SIR in Delhi.
Congress party won elections in Kerala after SIR, TVK bagged majority in Tamil
Nadu against BJP. The issue of ‘Vote Chori’ was not raised by Rahul Gandhi then.
All
political parties was given the opportunity to correct the list through BLOs.
Out of about 95 crore voters 82 crore (88%) cast their votes. Out of the
remaining 13 crore, 2.89 crore were dead, 1.1 crore had names in more than one
list which have been deleted. Those who wanted to register had opportunity to
enrol through Form 6.
How
the SIR in Kerala and Tamil Nadu is good and bad in Maharashtra and West Bengal?
This is double-standard by the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and CJP President
Abhijit Dipke.
Congress
President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi are demanding elections through
ballot papers instead of EVM, when EVM were introduced by former Prime Minister
Rajiv Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi should answer whether his father was wrong?, Ban
asked. Congress was ruling in the country till 2014 and got elected through use
of EVMs. Why demand for removal of EVMs was not raised then?
Referring
to history Nanvanth Ban stated that T N Shesan after completing term as CEC
(1990-96) contested elections against BJP’s L K Advani in 1999 on Congress
ticket and lost. CEC M S Gill (1996-2001) entered Congress, become Rajya Sabha
member from Punjab and was made Sports Minister in UPA government. Many CECs
were made Rajya Sabha members and Governors. Pt Jawaharlal Nehru made CEC
Sukumar Sen’s younger brother Ashok Kumar Sen Law Minister in 1957. During
1986-90 for CEC R K Trivedi (1983-85) was made Governor of Gujarat by Rajiv
Gandhi. Ban asked Rahul Gandhi to review the history and then level allegations
against Gyanesh Kumar.
