New Delhi, 10 October (H.S.): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments of 27 officers at the level of Joint Secretary and equivalent ranks. The appointments include postings in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Health and Family Welfare, National Health Authority, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Corporate Affairs and several other key departments and institutions.

According to information released by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Brijesh Pandey has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Capital Development, while Nikhil Verma has been appointed Additional Director General in the Directorate General of Foreign Trade in Delhi. Tanvi Sundriyal has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and Inderjeet Singh has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture. Prakash Rajpurohit has been appointed Deputy Election Commissioner in the Election Commission of India.

In the health sector, Mohammad Y. Safirulla K. and Ritu Sharma have been appointed Joint Secretaries in the Department of Health and Family Welfare. Deka has been appointed Joint Secretary in the National Health Authority, while More Ashish Madhaorao has been appointed Additional Chief Executive Officer in the same authority at the Joint Secretary level.

In the Ministry of Home Affairs, the ACC has approved the appointments of Ravi Shankar Kar, Chittaranjan Dash, P. Manoj Kumar and Abhishek Bhagotia as Joint Secretaries. Naveen Agrawal has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Legal Affairs, while M. Ramachandrudu has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

Among other appointments, Vivek Khare has been appointed Joint Secretary in the National Testing Agency. Sonia Pant has been appointed Adviser in NITI Aayog at the Joint Secretary level, while Nitin Kumar has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Central Vigilance Commission at the Joint Secretary level. C. Murugan has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

Additionally, Rajesh Malik has been appointed Executive Director in the Food Corporation of India. Rajnish Kumar Tomar has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of National Highways Logistics Management Limited at the Joint Secretary level. Nishtha Tiwari has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities, also at the Joint Secretary level.

Manisha Trigatiha has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Urban Development, Avinash Jain in the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, and Pawan Kumar in the National River Conservation Directorate.

The ACC has also approved the appointment of Anita Shah Akella as Joint Secretary in the National Commission for Women. Tamboli Ayyaj Fakirbhai has been appointed Executive Director in the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India at the Joint Secretary level.
