Lucknow, 1 Oct (HS): Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of
Uttar Pradesh, is slated to launch 87 cutting-edge interceptor vehicles. The
official launch will be held in Lucknow's Lok Bhavan. The recently introduced
enforcement fleet consists of high-tech four- and two-wheeler interceptor
vehicles meant to improve traffic surveillance. These vehicles are outfitted
with AI-based speed detection systems, high-resolution cameras, automated video
recording, digital evidence collection, and integrated e-challan systems to
automatically reduce traffic offenses. Along with the flag-off ceremony, the
event will include a medal investiture ceremony to commemorate police officers
and the formal release of the book Sangharsh.
This logistical boost comes as part of the state
government's committed endeavor to provide resources across Uttar Pradesh for
traffic safety enhancements, electronic enforcement, and AI-powered mobile
monitoring.
UP CM mentioned in a post on X, “A capable, sensitive, and
modern police system is the strong foundation of a secure state. In furtherance
of this vision, today in Lucknow, 87 four-wheeler and two-wheeler interceptor
vehicles equipped with state-of-the-art equipment will be flagged off. On this
occasion, there will also be a medal decoration for police personnel for
exemplary service and the release of the book 'Sangharsh' based on police
