Lucknow, 1 Oct (HS): The

National Service Scheme (NSS), Uttar Pradesh has achieved a remarkable feat by

achieving 101 percent of the target in the quiz phase of the Vikasit Bharat

Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027. As on September 30, 2026, 3,25,239 NSS

volunteers from the state participated in the quiz through the MY Bharat

portal.

This achievement is the result of the collective efforts of

the Uttar Pradesh NSS family under the guidance of Union Minister of Youth

Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State Raksha Khadse,

Secretary and Director of the Government of India and under the leadership of

Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay and Principal

Secretary, Higher Education.

State Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay said that

Uttar Pradesh's achievement of exceeding the target set in the VBYLD Quiz is a

testament to the active participation of the state's youth and their commitment

to national programs. He said that all officials associated with the National

Service Scheme, universities, colleges, program officers and volunteers have

achieved this feat through collective efforts. Congratulating all the concerned

officials and volunteers for this achievement, he said that youth power will

play an important role in realizing the resolve of a developed India @ 2047.

Dr. Manju Singh, Special Officer, National Service Scheme,

Higher Education Department, said that participation exceeding the target set

by the state was possible due to the coordinated efforts, dedication and

efficiency of the Vice Chancellors of the universities, Registrars, Deputy

Education Directors, Principals, Programme Coordinators, Programme Officers and

Rashtriya Seva Yojana volunteers. She expressed her gratitude for this

achievement to the Special Secretary, Higher Education, Regional Director,

Rashtriya Seva Yojana Lucknow and his entire staff, the employees of the NSS

Cell and all the associates. With this unity, dedication and efficiency, the

Uttar Pradesh Rashtriya Seva Yojana family will continue to contribute in

realizing the resolve of a developed India @ 2047.

The Develop India Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027 is a

key component of the National Youth Festival (NYF). It aims to connect youth in

the age group of 15 to 29 years with the vision of a Develop India @ 2047 and

inspire them to actively participate in nation-building. The first phase of

VBYLD 2027, the Develop India Quiz, was conducted digitally on the MY Bharat

portal from August 17 to September 30, 2026, in various languages.

The top 10 percent of quiz participants, up to a maximum of

400,000, will qualify for the next stage. This will be followed by district,

state, and national-level competitions, including the Ace Challenge, leading up

to the National Youth Festival in Delhi in January 2027.

Chancellors of the state's universities, program coordinators, program

officers, and Rashtriya Seva Yojana (RSY) volunteers played a crucial role in

achieving this feat in Uttar Pradesh. The state succeeded in exceeding its

target due to the coordinated efforts of the Special Secretary, Higher

Education, the Regional Director of Rashtriya Seva Yojana (RSY), Lucknow, and

the NSS Cell staff and associates.
