New Delhi, 01 October (H.S.): In view of the expected surge in passenger traffic during the festive season, Northern Railway has decided to operate festival special trains between New Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, and between Delhi Junction and Reengus Junction.

The New Delhi–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra reserved Festival Special Express will make three trips in each direction, while the Delhi Junction–Reengus Junction unreserved special train will make two trips in each direction.

According to Northern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, the trains will operate on the scheduled dates and timings to facilitate passengers and manage the additional rush during the festive period. Passengers have been advised to check the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) for the latest information or contact railway helpline 139.

Northern Railway said train number 04081/04082 New Delhi–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–New Delhi reserved Festival Special Express will operate from New Delhi on October 2, 3 and 4. In the return direction, the train will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra on October 3, 4 and 5.

Train number 04081 will depart from New Delhi at 11:45 pm and reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at noon the following day. En route, it will halt at Panipat, Kurukshetra Junction, Ambala Cantonment, Ludhiana Junction, Jalandhar Cantonment, Pathankot Cantonment, Jammu Tawi and Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan stations.

After departing New Delhi, the train will reach Panipat at 12:58 am and depart at 1 am. It will arrive at Kurukshetra Junction at 1:50 am and leave at 1:52 am. At Ambala Cantonment, it will arrive at 2:30 am and depart at 2:40 am.

The train will reach Ludhiana Junction at 4:15 am and depart at 4:20 am. It will arrive at Jalandhar Cantonment at 5:22 am and leave at 5:27 am. At Pathankot Cantonment, it will arrive at 7:15 am and depart at 7:20 am. The train will reach Jammu Tawi at 9:15 am and leave at 9:25 am. It will arrive at Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan station at 11:08 am and depart at 11:10 am before reaching Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at noon.

In the return direction, train number 04082 will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 9 pm. It will reach Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan at 9:28 pm and depart at 9:30 pm. The train will arrive at Jammu Tawi at 11 pm and leave at 11:05 pm. It will reach Pathankot Cantonment at 12:45 am and depart at 12:50 am.

The train will reach Jalandhar Cantonment at 2:45 am, Ludhiana Junction at 3:45 am, Ambala Cantonment at 5:40 am, Kurukshetra Junction at 6:25 am and Panipat at 7:25 am. It will subsequently reach New Delhi at 10 am.

Northern Railway has also announced the operation of train number 04415/04416 Delhi Junction–Reengus Junction–Delhi Junction unreserved special train. Train number 04415 will operate from Delhi Junction on October 1 and 2, while train number 04416 will operate from Reengus Junction on October 2 and 3.

Train number 04415 will depart from Delhi Junction at 6:50 pm. It will travel via Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Delhi Cantonment, Gurugram, Pataudi Road, Rewari Junction, Narnaul and Nim Ka Thana before reaching Reengus Junction at 12:40 am.

After leaving Delhi Junction, the train will arrive at Delhi Sarai Rohilla at 7:05 pm and depart at 7:10 pm. It will reach Delhi Cantonment at 7:30 pm and leave at 7:32 pm. At Gurugram, it will arrive at 7:48 pm and depart at 7:50 pm. The train will reach Pataudi Road at 8:05 pm and leave at 8:07 pm.

The train will arrive at Rewari Junction at 10 pm and depart at 10:05 pm. It will reach Narnaul at 11:01 pm and leave at 11:03 pm. At Nim Ka Thana, it will arrive at 11:43 pm and depart at 11:45 pm before reaching Reengus Junction at 12:40 am.

In the return direction, train number 04416 will depart from Reengus Junction at 2 am. It will reach Nim Ka Thana at 2:40 am and depart at 2:42 am. The train will arrive at Narnaul at 3:20 am and leave at 3:22 am. At Rewari Junction, it will arrive at 5 am and depart at 5:05 am.

The train will reach Pataudi Road at 5:20 am, Gurugram at 5:48 am, Delhi Cantonment at 6:05 am and Delhi Sarai Rohilla at 6:25 am. It will depart from Delhi Sarai Rohilla at 6:30 am and reach Delhi Junction at 7 am.
