Hooghly, 01 October (H.S.): Amid the difficult flood situation, Khanakul MLA Sushanta Ghosh has taken an initiative to support people affected by the floods. A cooked food distribution drive has been launched across 100 booths of the Khanakul Assembly constituency to ensure that no affected family goes without food.

From Thursday, cooked meals are being prepared at different booths and distributed among flood-affected and needy residents. Along with regular food distribution, efforts are also being made to provide necessary assistance to affected families.

A large number of people have been affected by the rising floodwater. In this situation, the initiative at the local level is aimed at supplementing administrative relief efforts and providing immediate support to residents.

MLA Sushanta Ghosh said that efforts to stand by people during the disaster and ensure regular assistance reaches those in need will continue.

Local party workers and volunteers are also participating in the initiative, helping ensure that cooked food and essential assistance reach flood-affected people across the constituency.
