New Delhi, 01 October (H.S.): The 103 Rapid Action Force (RAF) Battalion conducted a cleanliness drive at Pushpanjali School in Tukmirpur on Thursday as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva and Seva Sankalp campaigns. Delhi Government Minister for Art, Culture and Languages Kapil Mishra participated in the initiative.

RAF personnel, local representatives, residents and schoolchildren joined hands during the cleanliness drive. According to the Delhi Government, a major cleanliness campaign is being conducted at around 300 locations across the national capital.

Among those who participated were Sadatpur Municipal Councillor Neeta Bisht, BJP Mandal President Rakesh Dheda, 103 RAF Battalion Commandant Chandan Bobby Singh, RAF personnel, local representatives, residents and students of the school.

Mishra said the 103 RAF Battalion organises such cleanliness drives every year in collaboration with local residents and students. He expressed his appreciation to the battalion, its commandant and the entire team for extending their sense of social responsibility beyond their regular duties.

He said such initiatives help strengthen a sense of responsibility and service within society.

Mishra said a major cleanliness campaign is being conducted at around 300 locations across Delhi. He said Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is leading the initiative, with ministers, legislators, municipal councillors, other public representatives and citizens participating in cleanliness activities in their respective areas.

He also said that the Seva Sankalp campaign was being conducted to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. According to Mishra, the Prime Minister has given the country a message centred on cleanliness and public service, while the Swachh Bharat Mission has helped transform cleanliness into a broad-based public movement.

The minister said cleanliness is a collective and moral responsibility. He stressed that every citizen should contribute to keeping Delhi clean and well-maintained.

He added that cleanliness should not remain limited to periodic campaigns but should become a regular habit and an integral part of social responsibility.

Mishra said sustained collective participation would be essential to advancing the goal of a cleaner, greener and better Delhi. He emphasised that the government, security forces, local representatives and citizens must continue working together to maintain cleanliness across the city.
