New Delhi, 01 October (H.S.): A cleanliness and sanitation drive was organised at Kamla Nehru Park in Rohtas Nagar on Thursday under the Seva Sankalp campaign held to mark the birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Led by BJP state chief spokesperson Dr. Anil Gupta, BJP workers and local residents participated in voluntary labour and cleaned the park. The campaign aimed to raise public awareness about cleanliness and convey the message of keeping public spaces clean and well-maintained.

Rohtas Nagar MLA Jitendra Mahajan and Councillor Ritesh Soozi were also present during the drive. Elected representatives, BJP workers and local residents collectively participated in the cleanliness effort and expressed their commitment to maintaining sanitation. People were also urged to keep their surroundings clean and take an active role in maintaining cleanliness in public places.

On the occasion, Dr. Anil Gupta said cleanliness was not an issue limited to a particular day or campaign, but a collective responsibility of all citizens. Parks, roads, markets and other public places can remain clean only when every citizen contributes. He urged people to dispose of waste at designated places and encourage others in their neighbourhoods to adopt responsible cleanliness practices.

He said public participation and voluntary labour play an important role in cleanliness campaigns. A clean and healthy environment can be created only through the collective efforts of citizens.

At the conclusion of the programme, the participants pledged to make cleanliness, voluntary labour and public participation part of their daily lives and to contribute towards building a clean and beautiful Rohtas Nagar.
